If your passport is lost or stolen right before a flight, or if you are arrested or suffer a severe accident in the U.S., contact your regional Consulate General of the Republic of Korea immediately.
The consulate can issue emergency travel documents, notify your family in Korea, and provide consular visits if you are detained to ensure your rights are protected. (Note: They cannot pay legal fees or hospital bills).
